In this class you will learn techniques on faux painting, rag & sponge, stone coating, marbelizing and faux wood finishes. Your instructor will discuss how to properly prepare surfaces such as walls, counter tops and much more.

Intro to Industrial Painting

Why are Industrial Coatings so important? The intent of this class is to give you a broad understanding of how to prolong the longevity of assets such as bridges, pipelines, concrete structures, water treatment plants that operate in harsh environments. The purpose of this course is to give you the “hands-on” and technical knowledge to understand anti-corrosion coatings, preparation of surfaces, instrumentation readings, environmental measurements to ensure superior coating in highly corrosive environments. After this training you will have a much better understanding of blast profiles, coatings types and millage, materials, equipment maintenance and set-up...come prepared to learn and through hands on a class instruction.

In this course you will learn the safety procedures for airless sprayers and the following:

  • The fluid flow for a typical airless paint sprayer
  • Each fluid flow component and its operation explained
  • Operation of fluid pumps used in an airless sprayer
  • Hands on repacking of the fluid pump
  • Hands on rebuilding of common spray guns
  • Disassembly and repair of current handheld sprayers
  • Common on-site troubleshooting
